Traditionally the origin of the name Europe is associated with a mythological character.
Indeed, Europe (Ευρώπη in Greek) was the daughter of Agenor and Telephassa,

The origin of the name
"Africa" is also unclear.
The word may come from the Greek composed of a =

ANTARTIDA
The origin of the name
"Antarctica" has its origin in
the Greek word αρκτικως ("arktikos"), which translates as
"the bear" in reference to the
Polar Bear pointing
the North Pole. The opposite of this ανταρκτικως word
("antarktikos"), meaning
"opposite to the bear"
